The Islamic Society of Darwin (ISD) is a not-for-profit organisation that provides a range of services to the Darwin Muslim community and to the general Darwin community. The Society currently offers the following services:
- Daily prayers
- Jumu’ah and Eid prayers
- Taraweeh prayers
- Weekend madrasah for children
- Regular Hadith, Fiqh and Tafseer classes
- Regular Islamic classes for sisters
- Community dinners during Ramadhan
- Islamic Awareness Days
- Charitable food bazaars
- Islamic lectures
The Society plays a pivotal role in spreading awareness and in clarifying misconceptions about Islam in Darwin thereby helping in the integration of Muslims into the Darwin community.
